3 Display Modes

Choose how reversal bars are rendered:

• CO-Uni (Mode 1): N uniform 1x bricks from the previous close.
• CO-Dbl (Mode 2): One tall bar spanning the full reversal range.
• OO-Uni (Mode 3): Standard renko with gap-fill bricks (min 2x brick reversal).

Independent Reversal Sizing

Set the reversal threshold to any tick value, completely independent of brick size. A 2-tick brick with a 6-tick reversal. A 10-tick brick with a 5-tick reversal. Any combination you need for your strategy.

Real OHLC Wicks

Every renko bar displays its actual high and low as wicks. See where price traded within each brick — critical for reading rejection, momentum, and wick-based signals. Always on, no toggle needed.

Fully Backtestable

Because every bar carries real OHLC data, NinjaTrader's Strategy Analyzer produces accurate fill simulations. No more flat-bar artifacts distorting your backtest results.

Mode matters for strategy design. Mode 2 (CO-Dbl) is recommended for full-OHLC strategies — every element of every bar is real. Modes 1 and 3 have synthetic elements on reversal bricks, so reversal-based logic is less reliable on those modes. Learn more →
